Get Your Connection Back

Another Night, Another Battle
You’re standing in the kitchen on a Tuesday night.
The dishes are stacked.
The kids are in bed.
You said one small thing about the weekend, and somehow you’re on opposite sides of the room, defending positions you didn’t know you were going to take.
By the time someone says “forget it,” nothing’s resolved.
You go to bed. Same room. Same mattress. Different planets.
This Isn’t What It Was Supposed to Be
You married your soul mate.
Connection on all levels was effortless. Being together was all you wanted.
And now you’re feeling lonelier than you’ve ever felt.
Something has to change, and neither of you knows where to start.
The Three Phases of Couples Work
Re-group
We take the temperature of the marriage. Each of you shares the reasons you're here and the goals you carry in. No sides, no scoring. You both get heard before anything else gets decided.
Re-visit & Work
We confirm the goals are aligned, then begin structured between-session homework. Most of the real work happens at home, not in my office. Practice replaces guessing.
Build Momentum
When the relationship is moving forward, we accelerate. Homework gets sharper, conversations get warmer, and the daily texture of being together starts to change. You stop performing the marriage and start being in it.
Why Trust Me As Your Partner in Healing
A Homework-Driven Approach Built for Real Life
Most of what I assign is meant to live in your house, not my office. We de-brief what happened when you tried it, and the next assignment gets calibrated to what you learned.
Hard Conversations, Held With Care
I'll say the thing the two of you have been walking around for months. With permission, without judgment, and without leaving anybody embarrassed for needing to hear it.
Two Decades in the Hardest Conversations
I'm an LCPC and Certified Parent Coach licensed in Montana, with years working inside therapeutic boarding schools, offering parent coaching nationally, and doing clinical supervision for newer therapists. Everything I share with you has been proven to work with many other couples.

Frequently Asked Questions
Often, yes. Many couples start with one person who’s certain and one who’s “trying it because you asked.” The hesitant partner usually isn’t against the work, they’re against being blamed in front of a stranger. We make sure that’s not what this is.
Most of the change happens between sessions, not inside them. You’ll come back each week with real-life experience to unpack, and the next assignment gets sharper because we know what landed.
That comes up often, and we’ll surface it in the first few sessions rather than working around it. If individual work needs to happen in parallel, I’ll say so honestly and refer that piece out so the marriage isn’t carrying weight it can’t carry.
In some cases, couples therapy leads to the recognition that what’s best is a respectful, honest separation. In most cases, though, you’ll choose to stay together and continue deepening your love for each other.
